Tips for using the Property Search

Tips for using the Property Search. Searches. Searches default to real property only. You must change the Property Type selection on the Main search tab to include personal property accounts and tagged mobile homes. None of the search criteria on the TPP search tab will return results if personal property is not included. Search criteria. Search criteria on multiple tabs can be combined to perform complex searches. Numeric badges appear on tabs to indicate the number of criteria entered on each tab. Search fields. Search words or numbers in the owner name, situs address, and parcel ID fields return exact matches only unless an asterisk is added to the end of the word or number. Field selection. Place a checkmark next to any field name on any search tab to include the field in the results grid. Dropdown lists. Many dropdown lists can be refined by typing the beginning of an item. Multiple selections can be made manually or all visible items can be selected, but large selections may cause timeouts. Map navigation. If you do not have enough information to search, you can use the Map button to locate a property geographically. Results display. Use the show number of rows option to control how many rows appear per page. Export options. Results can be exported to Excel, CSV, PDF reports, or Avery 5161 mailing labels. Sorting. Click any column name in the results grid to sort results by that column. Narrow results. Use narrow results to filter displayed records without running a new search by including only records that contain a specific word or number.
